The Vance Law Firm wanted to make a statement targeting traffic leaving Pike County, AL headed northbound to Montgomery County, AL and the FAMOUSMakers had the perfect solution to help reach their audience. Just north of Troy, AL we utilized two bulletins that are directly across the road from each other. After having this idea for some time, we knew we wanted the two billboards to work together to tell a visual story. Featuring an arm in a cast and telephone, we used the left-hand read billboard to ask the question, “Injured?” and point drivers across the street to
the right-hand read billboard where Stewart Vance, Attorney & Owner, is showcased instructing drivers to “Dial 3 for Me.”

Durden Outdoor Installs Alabama’s Largest 3D Nose
The #FamousMakers at Durden Outdoor located in Southeast Alabama have always contended to be professional paraphrasers. We have a general rule to keep a headline shorter than 7 words as we only have 8-10 seconds to get our point across. While working on a new 2016-17 creative theme for one of our favorite clients, we achieved this goal…….plus we were able to add one new creative element on a billboard to push it over the top!

ICY BILLBOARD CATCHES MAJOR ATTENTION
In the South Alabama heat, it’s surprising to see icicles hanging from a billboard. Well here on the corner of Highway 84 West and Ross Clark Circle in Dothan you can see just that. This refreshingly cool addition was created for our client, Ashley Enfinger, for their promotion of Sears Hometown Store and Glacial Cryogenics. Ashley put it best when he said, “The billboard is great, and exactly what we needed to let people know about our businesses. Durden Outdoor is always coming up with a creative way to make us look good.”
Our design team had quite a job on their hands to make a design that brought attention to both Sears and Glacial Cryogenics, and gave directions to both locations. For a bit of insider information, designers always say, “Less is more in outdoor.” Fortunately for the designers and the client, everyone was in agreement that we needed to stick with this philosophy and keep the design bold and simple, with just enough embellishment to make everything POP!
That is where the icicles came in, deep from our team’s creative subconscious, likely wishing for a chilly reprieve from the near 100 degree weather this summer. These icicle additions add a cool feature (pun intended) to the billboard, drawing attention as they sway in the breeze.

Billboards Create Record-Breaking Weekend for Julia’s Restaurant
We recently had the opportunity to partner with Julia’s Restaurant to make their delicious buffet FAMOUS in Troy, AL. Julia’s Restaurant wanted to make a huge impact on Hwy 231. They utilized our bulletins to make a statement and tell a story to southbound traffic on Hwy 231. As you travel 231 South to the beach, you will see five different directional bulletins featuring Julia’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet. Music Festival Coming to Dothan
TOADLICK MUSIC FESTIVAL is a 3-day outdoor country music festival held at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, Alabama on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of March 2012. TOADLICK will feature some of the biggest names in Country Music performing on two stages throughout three fun-filled days and nights. General admission tickets are available for purchase online at toadlick.com. Trace Adkins, Sara Evans, Dierks Bentley, Billy Currington, and Montgomery Gentry are just a few of the fifteen acts that will be performing on the two amphitheater stages. Not only is there music but there is camping…Camping spaces (full hook-up, partial hook-up, and primitive) will allow you to enjoy the complete TOADLICK experience.
Durden Outdoor is grateful to have had a first hand experience in helping this great event in coming to Dothan, Alabama. They are utilizing all three of the Durden advertising products: Rotary Poster, Bulletins, and our Digital Network. Bulletins are the largest, most impaction standard-size form of outdoor media. Located on highly visible locations, such as expressways and primary arteries, they offer advertisers exposure from heavy traffic patterns. Bulletins afford great visibility due not only to their size, but because they allow creative customizing through extensions and embellishments. A Rotary Poster program is one of the preferred methods used to penetrate the market and build strong brand saturation. Posters are purchased in increments called showings.
