45 Days until Christmas!

The holiday season is here! While consumers are busy getting together shopping lists, it is a perfect time for businesses to get together their end of the year advertising plan. Holiday spending is expected to increase by 7% – 10% this year, and it is no secret that more shopping means an increase in traffic through out the Wiregrass. The Durden Digital Network is perfect for targeting shoppers with our 28 digital billboards located in Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark, Troy and Eufaula. Ad placement in high traffic areas, along with a memorable message developed by our Creative Team, makes for an extremely valuable advertising opportunity. Digital Blitzes are an effective way to concentrate advertising efforts on certain key dates. Durden Outdoor is currently offering some pretty great Black Friday Blitz Packages (see below). If your company would like to increase their bottom line during the holiday season, contact one of our creative image advisers today to take advantage of these specials.   Black Friday Digital Billboard Sale

‘Tis the Season for Giving

TEAM Durden has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We are extremely blessed with great customers and wonderful co-workers that we all consider family. This year, we chose the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank’s “Stuff the Semi” food drive as a public service project. They will be collecting non-perishable food items, frozen turkeys, and monetary donations today at Southside Wal-Mart until 6:00 PM to feed families this holiday season. Whether it be a food drive, paying someone’s utility bill, or simply a kind gesture of “how can I help?” This Thanksgiving, we encourage you to give back to your community and bless someone who may be going through a tough time. “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Stuff the Semi

Happy Thanksgiving from the FAMOUS Makers!

Each and everyone of our FAMOUS Makers play an important role at Durden Outdoor and we could not ask for a better TEAM. From our family to yours, we hope you have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!

The retail season is just around the corner, and now is the time to finalize marketing plans. Beginning with Columbus Day, October 8th, seven major retail shopping events line up to provsticky noteide huge opportunities for local businesses . Retail revenue is forecast to be up 3.3% during the 2012 fourth quarter, and traffic counts are expected to increase by 2.8% according to ShopperTrak. That influx should offer retailers the opportunity to convert browsers into buyers.

This means your brand is the first to mind when a consumer thinks of a product or service you offer. To maintain this status, businesses must remain diligent in their promotional efforts.

Sales don’t magically happen on Black Friday; it is important to ramp up to this potential plateau to meet or even exceed your seasonal sales goals. ABC news reported a 5.4% gain in August 2012 over last year’s numbers. Historically, a positive back-to-school season means an equally robust holiday shopping season, but expect a lull during the period before Black Friday unless you take an aggressive advertising approach. Too many low-income consumers are strapped right now. They will spend for back-to-school and for the holidays, but for the remainder of the time, they’re very cautious about what they are buying.

Media experts rely on a blitz & sustain strategy during times such as these to ensure advertising dollars are spent efficiently. This means you fish when the fish are biting. In more relevant terms, savvy advertisers should focus their spend on key shopping dates, but not go silent in between. In today’s high pressure sales environment, you must be out there or you could quickly become invisible.
The Durden Digital Network is perfectly designed to capture your target audience with a heavier display schedule on key dates and a lighter (but not silent) spot load in between. The team at Durden Outdoor have put together several packages to help you plan and focus your advertising in the coming months. Durden’s Kreative team provides excellent marketing and design support to all their clients. Make sure you are taking advantage of the upcoming high seasonal traffic.
You may think it is only September, but it is time to start putting together your Plan of Action. Preparing for the holiday shopping season is an annual ritual that can’t be ignored. The best advice is to start early and stay late – customers start holiday browsing earlier every year, but the decision to purchase may not come as soon as you expect. Thanksgiving & Black Friday in Dothan, Alabama

happythanksgiving Here is a little history to be thankful for… In 1621, the colonists and Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November. Thursday, November 24, 2011 will be a day of good home cooking, family, friends, and a time to be thankful for all that we have. I know most Dothan Citizens were thankful the gas prices went down the week of thanksgiving. This blessing came at a great time since a lot of Dothan Natives travel out of town to see their families. Here at Durden Outdoor Displays, we are thankful for our clients who continue to do business with us and our staff that works hard every day (even holidays) to get boards posted.
