Dothan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat

      The Jeep extension and real time headlights create exciting imagery that is sure to catch the eyes of drivers who are looking for adventure. With a large and noticeable directional arrow, potential customers can easily make their way to the dealership to take advantage of Dothan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat’s great prices. This 14’ x 48’ bulletin is a perfect example of adding some small but key features that really bring the sign to life.

Eagle Eye Outfitters

      This 10’ x 42’ bulletin features an Omni-heat reflective Columbia jacket. Lined with red LED’s, the lining of the jacket lit up at night, bringing brand awareness to Eagle Eye Outfitters. It helped draw the attention of all those looking to buy something to keep them a bit warmer during the cooler season. Big, bold text and bright colors really took this design to the next level.

Hardee’s

  Sometimes, the food speaks for itself. That was the idea behind this 10’ x 42’ bulletin for Hardee’s. It boasts an oversized extension to make the shape of the burger seriously pop. Since this appetizing design will make passing drivers hungry, it also features large, simple text to inform the viewer of the closest Hardee’s locations.

Smoothie King

    This Smoothie King billboard is a rotary poster that is wrapped with vinyl. It utilizes an extension to create a straw for the smoothie cup. This was a simple addition to the design that made the item look and feel even more life-like.

Bryan Pharmacy

  This 10’ x 36’ bulletin for Bryan Pharmacy features “Boll Weevil Bryan,” which is a clever decision for a company that is advertising in Enterprise, AL, where the boll weevil is the unofficial symbol of the city. This billboard features a waving arm, which is a unique, eye-catching design element to incorporate. This campaign won a Silver American Advertising Award!

Mr. Mattress

    Mr. Mattress, a mattress superstore in Dothan, AL, wanted a design that is big, bold and tells a simple story – Shop Local, Save Money, Sleep Better. Durden Outdoor created a giant inflatable pillow to attach to the front of the 14’ x 48’ bulletin to bring it to life. In addition, the client wanted a billboard on the west side of town welcoming traffic into the circle city. Out-of-Home Advertising During COVID-19

In early 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a drop in Out-of-Home visibility due to the Safer at Home order and social distancing. Now that we are well over a year into the pandemic, people are getting back on the roads and back to a new “normal” lifestyle. Because of this, billboards were, and still are, an important aspect of your marketing campaign. With more people resuming travel, Durden Outdoor has also seen an increase in COVID-19 messaging, encouraging people to get vaccinated and save lives.       There are several rumors circulating such as “The vaccine causes fertility issues” and “I don’t need the vaccine, I’ve already had COVID.” In order to squash these myths and educate the public, city and state officials are running billboard campaigns that push customers to websites where up-to-date information can be found. The hope is by educating the public, more and more people will get vaccinated, save lives and we can return to normal sooner rather than later. Currently, anyone in the state of Alabama that is 16 or older is eligible to receive the vaccine. The City of Dothan’s “Love Dothan” campaign ran a series of “Myth” ads utilizing the Durden Digital Network. The campaign features various myths about the COVID-19 vaccine with a website address to get more information about FAQ’s and registering for the vaccine. The Alabama Department of Public Health also ran a digital Out-of-Home campaign, each featuring a simple but encouraging message about getting vaccinated along with a website to find out more information.       In a time when most people are getting back to being out and about, and therefore are regularly exposed to Out-of-Home advertising, billboards are a critical part of COVID-19 messaging. Durden Outdoor Displays, Inc. partners with Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam

Durden Outdoor Displays, Inc. is excited to partner with Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam for the 5th straight year, bringing thousands of people to the beautiful beaches of Panama City Beach, FL. Festivalgoers travel from all across the United States not only for the country music but for the views of the most gorgeous beaches along the gulf coast as well. The three-day country music festival is scheduled for Labor Day weekend, September 1st thru 3rd this year.

Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam utilized a mix of 4-Week Rotary Posters and the Durden Digital Network to saturate our ten county service area to include Dothan, Troy, Eufaula, Ozark, Geneva and Enterprise markets to name a few. They were able to run top of the mind awareness ads to promote the festival early on in the campaign. This allowed them to pre-sale tickets and boost the hype for one of the largest country music festivals in the south. Once all artists were secured, they started running ads across both platforms announcing the stellar lineup for the festival. Out-of-Home Most Effective Driving Online Activity

According to a recent OAAA article, Neilsen just released data that examined Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and search activation. The verdict? Out-of-Home was decidedly the best media channel for driving online activity per ad dollar spent. There were several components that Neilsen reviewed when collecting the data. They first reviewed the amount of consumer online activity each media channel generated. In the past six months, 46% of search was activated by outdoor advertising. Behind search, Facebook came in at 38%, 25% in Instagram and 23% in Twitter. The amount of ad spend share for each media channel verses the amount of online activation proved that Out-Of-Home returns four times the expected rate given its relative ad spend.

ICY BILLBOARD CATCHES MAJOR ATTENTION

In the South Alabama heat, it’s surprising to see icicles hanging from a billboard. Well here on the corner of Highway 84 West and Ross Clark Circle in Dothan you can see just that. This refreshingly cool addition was created for our client, Ashley Enfinger, for their promotion of Sears Hometown Store and Glacial Cryogenics. Ashley put it best when he said, “The billboard is great, and exactly what we needed to let people know about our businesses. Durden Outdoor is always coming up with a creative way to make us look good.” Our design team had quite a job on their hands to make a design that brought attention to both Sears and Glacial Cryogenics, and gave directions to both locations. For a bit of insider information, designers always say, “Less is more in outdoor.” Fortunately for the designers and the client, everyone was in agreement that we needed to stick with this philosophy and keep the design bold and simple, with just enough embellishment to make everything POP! That is where the icicles came in, deep from our team’s creative subconscious, likely wishing for a chilly reprieve from the near 100 degree weather this summer. These icicle additions add a cool feature (pun intended) to the billboard, drawing attention as they sway in the breeze. Billboards Add Huge Increase To Dothan Hotel’s Bottom Line

In today’s world, many people pre-book their hotel rooms online for convenience.
However, there is still a large percentage who don’t.  The largest hotel in Dothan, AL decided to use billboards to entice this “last minute” group of travelers.  “Most hoteliers just use billboards for directionals.  We wanted to put ours to the test” says Hannah Shiver, GM of the Clarion Inn.

‘Tis the Season for Giving

TEAM Durden has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We are extremely blessed with great customers and wonderful co-workers that we all consider family. This year, we chose the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank’s “Stuff the Semi” food drive as a public service project. They will be collecting non-perishable food items, frozen turkeys, and monetary donations today at Southside Wal-Mart until 6:00 PM to feed families this holiday season.
