2013 Toadlick To Benefit Local & National Charities
DOTHAN, ALABAMA, December 14, 2012
Toadlick Music Festival has announced that a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales to their second annual event will go to help benefit the Wiregrass Children’s Home, which serves seven counties in the Wiregrass area of Southeast Alabama, and the national Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
The Wiregrass Children’s Home offers a safe haven for neglected and abused children, providing food, clothing, shelter, and the loving support they so desperately need in the midst of crisis. Since its beginning in 1989, the Home has served more than 700 children—some for only one night, yet others for many years—all receiving a window of hope and a promise for a better tomorrow.
For more than 32 years, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation has provided surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations Forces with the college education their fallen parents would have wanted for them. They also provide financial assistance and support to special operations personnel who are severely wounded.
“We are very proud to be associated with these two, very fine, non-profit organizations,” explains Chris Gilbert, Toadlick Music Festival Event Coordinator. “It gives us an opportunity to give back to our local community, as well as honor those who have served to defend our country and help the children many of them have left behind. And everyone who joins us at the Festival can share in the satisfaction that comes with helping those in need.”
Toadlick Music Festival will be held at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, Alabama, April 11-13, and will feature more than 20 of today’s hottest country music and southern rock performers. The event features three days of fun, music and camping. In addition to great music, the event offers activities, vendors and attractions the whole family can enjoy.
Get special, holiday-priced, 3-day passes to the festival for a limited time for only $89 by visiting www.toadlick.com. And kids under 12 are free! You can also find out more by following Toadlick on Facebook at www.facebook.com/toadlickmusic or on twitter @toadlickmusic.
